This rapier was typical of the fine edged weapons of the 17th century European gentry. The blades of these sleek and sometimes ornate personal weapons were often crafted in Spain due to the quality of craftsmanship. Similar in design to the swept hilt Rapier, this elegant rapier features a cage hand guard and elaborate sword-catcher all in one. The Blade of this replica sword is not full battle worthy and cannot be sharpened.
