Description   These pieces of armor for the lower arm are made from a double thickness of heavy leather and have antiqued steel riveted on in a decorative pattern. Excellent protection from a draw cut and they finish off an outfit handsomely. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts®. Leather and Steel Vambraces are excellent arm bracers that provide great protection for the lower arm. Vambraces are generally called forearm guards, with or without separate couters, or elbow guards. They were developed first in the ancient world mainly by the Romans. They are "tubular" or "gutter" defenses for the forearm.
