The helmet was received in good order and was double boxed and padded when it was shipped out. The helmet is lined with a heavy canvas which is sewn to the rim around face of bascinet but is not padded. Inside the crown of liner it is open to allow for padding to be added. The steel is quite thick throughout and is coated inside. It does not have a chin strap and the face plate will have to be secured by means of heavy leather straps near bottom of face to make it battle ready. A few modifications and it will make for a reliable sca battle helmet. I am happy with it.
