“Lorica Segmentata’’ (Roman armour breastplate and backplate). This Lorica Segmentata wearable armour is sized for the average person of ancient Rome. It is believed that Lorica Segmenta was introduced in the ranks of Roman Army during the 1st Century AD. It was widely used at the heights of the Roman Empire. Though it could never replace the mail and scale armour. For the modern mind Lorica signifies the Roman soldiers. Our Lorica Segmenta is closely copied from Lorica found in Newstead, Scotland, dates from 2nd Century AD when the Roman Empire ruled much of the United Kingdom.

Made with 18 Gauge Steel and real leather straps. Supplied with simple polish and with a protective coating of oil for more historical authenticity and protection.
