This helms ancestry lies in a group of helmets buried in the chieftain's graves of Vendel and Valsgrade in the Uppland region of Sweden. Each helm is made of 14 gauge high carbon steel and specifically designed to be battle ready (functional use). The manufacturer, GDFB (Get Dressed For Battle), has been gaining popularity in Europe over the years as the number one supplier of affordable, functional garments and armour for re-enactment and combat use.
