Who Wore These Medieval Cotton Pants?

It’s believed Vikings used this kind of solution to hold their trousers in place to prevent tripping and tangling while sailing, working or engaged in battle. Anglo Saxons, Normans, and a variety of other European and global civilisations have employed the same style of leg wraps. It makes particular sense in cold climates. Making tight-fitting hose style pants became possible in the later Medieval Period but this style of pant was a feature of life for a long period of the middle ages due to its versatility, comfort, and ability to be adapted to fit another person as a hand-me-down.

The leg wraps further secure this part of the leg in place. Pockets are also a feature sometimes unavailable in the past but much appreciated today. These Medieval Cotton Pants are available for men, women, and children in a variety of colours and sizes and make a great starting point for a lot of great looks and character ideas.
