A Stalwart Blade to Defend the Realms of Men

The Korax LARP Short Sword’s blade is Hammerkunst’s short-sword type blade: it is 26 ½ inches in length, an excellent style for close-quarters fighting. It has subtly tapering sides and a short point: this mirrors the Viking Age swords of the Early Medieval period, classified as Oakeshott Type X. This configuration of sword was highly robust, and is the ideal type for a LARP combat weapon. The blade features an eyecatching compound fuller, and is finished in a battleworn polished-steel color.

The hilt is a stunning masterwork in fantasy design. It is cast so as to have the appearance of pitted wrought iron, forged by a Dwarven master smith. The cross-guard features wickedly pointed twin quillons and a pierced quillon block. The grip is designed to look like hardwood, and the pierced pommel completes this gorgeous weapon. It’d look fantastic being drawn out from within our medieval-inspired fantasy cloaks – no ranger is complete without one!

Hammerkunst have worked with engineers and academics to build the perfect LARP sword design. The Korax LARP Short Sword is made with a solid glass fiber core and resilient cast polyurethane foam – it is completely latex-free, and so is much easier to maintain and care for. It is of medium hardness, and so should be used carefully against unarmored opponents. Each sword is hand-painted, so features minute attention to detail. Overall, this sword looks spectacular at any distance, and is the ideal side-arm for your warrior or ranger LARP impression.
